From October 14, 2002, Hardware Street Pharmacy will move the Compounding business to Melbourne Docklands. The retail business will remain at 399 Lonsdale St., Melb.

Change of Name
Hardware Street Pharmacy at 399 Lonsdale Street will be called: Melbourne Compounding Pharmacy. This will in fact be a city (CBD) collection and information centre for Compounding Pharmacy. The retail and NHS prescription component will be the SAME as before.

New Identity
Both the Melbourne Compounding Pharmacy and Australian Compounding Pharmacy will be under the "umbrella" of a corporate identity called:

Compoundia (Australia) Pty Ltd

In summary, Compoundia will consist of 2 Pharmacies.

The Melbourne Compounding Pharmacy will be a regular Retail Pharmacy and will also act as an information and Collection centre for Compounding prescriptions for those who are unable to visit our main Pharmacy at the Docklands.

The Australian Compounding Pharmacy will be the “first of its kind” in Australia to have “Apothecary” Retail with an “open” Compounding Pharmacy within the direct confines of medical consulting rooms with the doors “open” to both conventional and alternative Medicine.
